My work integrates 12 years of clinical knowledge with powerful transformative approaches such as hypnotherapy, brainspotting, or breathwork. The goal is the same: to help you reconnect to the part of yourself that already knows how to heal.
Mind–body approaches are tremendously helpful and I use them in every consultation. In addition, what I’ve learned in over 12 years of practice is that true, lasting transformation also requires accessing a deeper dimension of your being. Some call it Presence, consciousness, or your deeper “I.” It’s the part of you that is already whole, beyond the chatter of the mind.
I meet you exactly where you are, without judgment or pressure. We move at your pace with your nervous system’s safety as the foundation.
This is not about fixing you. It is about remembering who you are underneath the pain, anxiety, and old stories.
I support individuals who feel stuck in cycles they can't explain. These may be high-achievers navigating burnout, sensitive souls carrying family pain, or anyone who is ready to explore the deeper layers of healing.
You may look like you’re holding it all together, but inside, you're exhausted, anxious, disconnected, or overwhelmed. You are not alone.
If you are looking for support that honors both your psychology and your soul, you are in the right place.
After years of working in clinical and private practice settings across Brazil and the United States, I have seen what happens when people are given space to feel, release, and reconnect.
This work is deeply personal to me, because I, too, had to walk this path. My own healing journey transformed my life—helping me overcome my own pain, break free from old patterns, and discover a sense of peace and wholeness I didn’t think was possible.
I have seen lives transform not because people were told what to do, but because they were guided back to themselves.
Healing is not always easy, but it is always possible, especially when someone is walking alongside you who knows how to hold the process with care, skill, and respect.

Hi, I’m Daniel — a trauma-informed therapist, Certified Hypnotherapist, and former professional athlete who’s committed to helping you heal from the inside out.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, I came to the U.S. on a full basketball scholarship and later earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology from Pace University in New York. Over the past 12 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients internationally, specializing in trauma recovery, subconscious healing, and nervous system regulation.
Beyond my 12 years of clinical expertise, I’m also a lifelong student and practitioner of spirituality. This personal path of inner growth deeply informs the way I hold space for others — with presence, compassion, and trust in your innate capacity to heal.
My approach blends evidence-based practices like hypnotherapy, brainspotting, intuitive presence and deep listening. I believe true healing doesn’t come from fixing what’s “wrong,” but from reconnecting to what’s already wise and whole within you.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, or a deep desire for growth, I’m here to guide you through a safe and personalized process of transformation.
You don’t have to relive the pain to release it. You just need the right support to move through it, at your own pace, in your own way.

“Daniel is a wonderful therapist, so engaging, thoughtful and interested in the process and outcome. "Daniel worked with us during some periods of the selection. I think sports psychology work is extremely important, especially for basketball, which is a sport that you have to pay attention to very quickly.
So he helped the athletes and the committee a lot to make more sensible and assertive decisions in the work he did with us. I recommend it to everyone. This work is super important, both in the sporting environment and in the personal environment, as it helps us make the right decisions possible."

Hypnosis is a natural and focused state of awareness that allows you to tune out distractions and access the deeper parts of your mind where real change happens. You’ve likely experienced light states of hypnosis in everyday life without even realizing it. Like when you drive somewhere and suddenly arrive without remembering every turn. Or when you get so absorbed in a movie or book that you don’t hear someone calling your name. Or that peaceful feeling right before you fall asleep or wake up. These are all natural examples of being in a light hypnotic state. In a professional hypnosis session, I help you intentionally enter this focused, relaxed state — not to control you, but to help you work more effectively with your subconscious mind. This is the part of your mind that holds your emotions, beliefs, habits, and automatic responses. While your body and conscious mind relax, your subconscious becomes more open and receptive to positive change. This is the ideal state to work on emotional blocks, limiting beliefs, or unhelpful patterns that have been holding you back. It’s important to know that hypnosis is a skill — and like any skill, it gets easier with practice. In our first session, I’ll guide you through the process step by step, helping you get comfortable with it. Most clients are surprised by how natural it feels and how quickly they learn to enter this state on their own. Once you get the hang of it, hypnosis becomes a powerful mental tool you can use to create meaningful, lasting change in your life.
Hypnosis works by helping you quiet the thinking, analyzing part of your mind (the conscious mind) so you can access the deeper part of you that truly runs the show — the subconscious mind. Your subconscious stores your emotions, habits, beliefs, and life experiences. It’s like the operating system of a computer or the software on your phone. It runs programs in the background that influence how you think, feel, and respond — often without you realizing it. The problem? Some of those programs were installed years ago — often in childhood — and may no longer serve you. In fact, they might be holding you back, like outdated software or hidden malware slowing down your system. In hypnosis, we bypass the overthinking mind and go straight to the source of these patterns. Once we access the subconscious, you become more open to new, positive suggestions that support the change you want to make. This process allows us to identify and update the outdated beliefs, fears, or emotional blocks that have been running in the background — and replace them with more empowering, supportive patterns. Simply put, hypnosis helps you clear what’s in the way, so you can move forward faster and with greater ease.
No — this is one of the biggest myths about hypnosis, often exaggerated in movies or entertainment. The truth is, you are fully in control the entire time. You cannot be made to do anything against your will. You won’t reveal any personal information unless you choose to.
You won’t get "stuck" in hypnosis — that’s simply not how it works. Hypnosis is a cooperative process, not something that’s "done to you." You choose to go into hypnosis, stay in it, or come out at any time. For example, if a fire alarm went off, you’d simply open your eyes and respond — you wouldn’t stay frozen waiting for me to “wake you up.” You remain aware of your surroundings, aware of my voice, and capable of stopping the process anytime you wish. Hypnosis is a safe, natural state of focused awareness — one that you already experience in daily life in moments of deep concentration or relaxation.
Yes — anyone can experience hypnosis if they are open to it and willing to participate. You cannot be hypnotized against your will. It’s a choice you make to enter this relaxed, focused state. Hypnosis works best when you are motivated to make a change.
It’s not effective if you’re doing it just to please someone else, like trying to quit smoking because your partner wants you to — but you aren’t really committed. You have to want the change for yourself. A common myth is that strong-minded or analytical people can’t be hypnotized. The truth is, the more intelligent, focused, or creative you are, the easier it can be to enter hypnosis — because you already know how to focus your mind when you choose to. If you’ve tried hypnosis before and felt it didn’t work, don’t be discouraged. Not all practitioners work the same way. That’s why I don’t use generic scripts or one-size-fits-all techniques. I customize the process to fit your unique way of processing information. You don’t need to feel "deeply hypnotized" for it to work. In fact, a light, relaxed state is often enough to access your subconscious and create meaningful change. Even if it feels like you’re simply listening to my voice without "feeling hypnotized," your subconscious mind is still absorbing the suggestions — and that’s where real transformation happens.
Hypnosis is highly effective when two key things come together: It’s guided by a skilled practitioner who knows how to work with your unique mind, And you are genuinely ready and committed to making a change. While hypnosis can feel fast compared to traditional talk therapy, it’s not a magic wand. True transformation happens when you show up fully, participate in the process, and apply what you learn in real life. In fact, a study by Alfred A. Barrios, Ph.D. — published in American Health Magazine — found that hypnotherapy had a 93% success rate after just 6 sessions, compared to: 72% success with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) after 22 sessions, 38% success with Psychoanalysis after 600 sessions. While every client and every issue is different, I have seen similar results in my own practice. Having worked for years as a psychotherapist with other very effective approaches like EMDR, Brainspotting, traditional counseling and behavior therapy, I can tell you there is value in all approaches — but hypnosis tends to create faster, deeper, and longer-lasting results for the clients I work with. There’s a reason so many Olympic athletes, high-performing executives, and world-class performers use hypnosis as part of their success strategy. It works — when you’re ready to do the work.
Hypnosis feels a little different for everyone, but most people describe it as a deeply calming, peaceful state of mind and body — almost like meditation or daydreaming. While the word “hypnosis” comes from the Greek word for sleep, you are not actually asleep. You’ll be awake, aware of your surroundings, and able to hear my voice the entire time. That said, you might feel so relaxed that you tune out distractions or drift in and out of focus — and that’s perfectly normal. Some people feel very aware of everything being said, while others feel like they remember only parts of the session afterward. Both experiences are completely valid and effective. Even if you don’t consciously remember every word, your subconscious mind is fully engaged and working in the background to create the changes you’re seeking. And yes, if you do happen to drift off into sleep-like relaxation, I’ll simply guide you back when needed. There’s no wrong way to experience hypnosis, as long as you’re open to the process.
Every person is unique, so the number of sessions depends on your specific goals, life experiences, and the depth of change you’re seeking. For some clients, a focused issue (like improving sleep, reducing performance anxiety, or boosting confidence) may take just a few sessions to see real progress. For deeper work — like emotional healing, trauma resolution, or long-term pattern change — it often takes a longer process, typically 6 to 12 sessions, to create sustainable, lasting results. That’s why I don’t offer one-off sessions. Real change requires more than a single appointment. In our consultation and first session, I’ll listen to your story, help you clarify what’s possible, and create a plan that feels realistic, achievable, and personalized to you — not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Yes — hypnosis works just as effectively online as it does in person. In fact, many people find online sessions even more effective because they’re able to relax deeply in their own familiar space, free from the pressure of being in a new environment. I’ve helped clients around the world experience real transformation through secure Zoom sessions — all from the comfort of their own home. All you need is: A quiet, private space where you won’t be interrupted A stable internet connection A phone, tablet, or computer with video and audio It’s that simple. No travel. No traffic. Just powerful, focused work wherever you are in the world.
Once you decide to move forward after our consultation, you’ll choose the package that best fits your needs and goals. Full payment is required upfront to reserve your spot and begin our work together. I accept all major credit and debit cards through a secure online payment system. For larger programs, flexible payment plans may be available to make the process easier and more accessible. Feel free to ask about this during your consultation if you’d like to explore that option. Clear pricing. No hidden fees. No surprises.
Hypnotherapy is considered a complementary wellness service, not a medical or clinical treatment, so it is not covered by health insurance at this time. However, I’ve designed my programs with clear, upfront pricing to make them as accessible as possible for those ready to invest in meaningful change. Many of my clients view this work as a personal investment in their mental, emotional, and personal well-being — one that often pays off in every area of life. If you have questions about pricing or payment plans, I’m happy to discuss options with you during your free consultation.
Yes. I’m happy to collaborate with healthcare providers, therapists, coaches, and other professionals who recognize the value of subconscious work and mind-body integration. While I do not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions, many healthcare professionals refer clients to me for complementary support — such as reducing anxiety, improving focus, overcoming emotional blocks, or enhancing personal well-being. If you are a provider and would like to discuss how we can work together to support your clients, feel free to reach out to me directly.
